Event Description

This event grew out of the idea that

a healthy community requires healthy

people and a healthy environment.

Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory’s Walkathon is

intended to promote wellness and conservation by

bringing people outdoors and inspiring them to

understand how their decisions affect our natural

resources.

The Walkathon offers people in the community an

opportunity to enjoy nature and learn about

conservation while raising funds for Rocky

Mountain Bird Observatory’s environmental

education programs.

In 2010 RMBO engaged nearly

conservation via workshops, school programs,

summer camps and public events. Most received

25,000 citizens in

scholarships

or attended a free event.
