Been hearing reports of this, but yesterday the Rufous Hummingbirds started showing up in Summit County. We seem to be the last to get any of the new birds. They haven't started showing the usual signs of aggression, just seem to be checking out the lay of the land now.
Time to put our feeders out on the plains see if we can attract any our way. We see all four common species-usually only one or two per species visit Nunn during migration. Gary
