Bear-proof bird feeding/feeders
It would be interesting to hear from other Birders, who live and feed in the same environment that Bears exist. Last fall the bear came in, devoured our black-oil sunflower feeder, and climbed up one of our deck posts, pulled down the humming bird feeder, and feasted on the nectar. I'm not thrilled about ceasing with any bird feeders during the summer months, but with the warm high-alpine temps, the bear is bound to be back before long, if it survived the fall Bear season!
