Where was picture taken? Gary

Looks to me like a nuthatch. Hard to tell from this angle, but possibly a pygmy or white-breasted.

Thanks for the replies! I really apreciate it. As far as I can tell it isn't a nuthatch, I have another picture maybe that will help. The picture was taken in Park county last week.

Here's a blur from another angle. All the pictures I've got. I really don't know this one. Thanks again :)

I looked thru some of my books. Perhaps it's a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.

What size is bird? Gnatcatchers are "tiny" (3.9–4.3 in) this looks a little bigger to me. What area of Colorado was the photograph taken? Gary

The photos were taken in Park county, a little off of 285 between Jefferson and Fairplay. It is mostly aspen with a few scattered pine, on a fairly dry hillside. After looking through books my first thought was the gnatcatcher too just based on coloring, but you are right it is bigger, and the colors and patterns are definitely different. To me it look maybe like a type of warbler?.. or almost like a titmouse without the tuft.. are there any of those around?

Gary,
Looks like a warbling vireo. The dark cap and bright eyebrow also make me think about red eyed vireo (we saw one singing vigorously at Castlewood earlier this month), but still think warbling's most likely.
