Rosy Finches in Breckenridge

My feeders were visited at least 4 times today by flocks of rosy finches. The first couple of times the flock size was about 100+, second was 25-30 and last time was about 60. I live in a townhouse and hang the feeders from my balcony. I also put a large tray out for the birds. I've found that the rosy finches seem to like the flat surfaces best of all, so they prefer the tray. When I know they're around, I throw many sunflower seeds on the deck surface as well. And they really love it.
