Sharp-shinned Hawk

In my backyard late on 2/14, trying to catch pigeons (which might be larger than him!) SW Fort Collins.

Nice going...you focused on it right through the 'window'  betweem the limbs!  You're so lucky to have such an interesting backyard visitor.  I hope to see more nice close-ups of this guy!

very nice shot!!  did you get out to see the short-ear owl?  I forgot to tell you before you went that we saw one flying right to left out of the row of bushes on the right, you could actually walk out to get a better view of them when they come out, light is almost gone when one showed up on tues. around 5:45 p.m.
