The kestral and the snake.

I never thought I'd see this...this kestral (female I think, cause she hangs around the nest all the time) was flying around with this northern water snake baby, occasionally landing on top of a post or pole to take a bite at the head. I'm learning these kestrals are really tough little characters...strong, too! Near ELC in Ft. Collins.

WOW!!!!! What an incredible capture Theo! That is really nature at its best. They are indeed tough, they'll take out Doves occasionally too!
