We normally catch the local birds at our feeders here in South Park, they sit at el. 10,000' We also live near the Nature Conservancy High Creek Fen, birding there is always unique & interesting.

Thanks for your comments, Keith....I have been a bird watcher since I was little. I had rheumatic fever as a kid and had to spend a year in bed....I was carried outside in the summer to spend days under a huge ash tree on a glider....I spent a lot of time trying to talk to birds....I learned I could get them riled up if they thought another bird was in their territory....my parents were birders, too. I especially enjoyed the mourning dove calls. I have pictures on the National Geographic page called "My Shot' also.
