Klaus, you also have some good photos, ospreys are common in fort collins, at prospect and timberline, running deer nature area. Saw two there this morning.

Your photos are gorgeous. Have you been to Sanibel Island in Florida to photograph the water foul there? It's unbelievable.

The Hawk that buzzed me last summer didnt come very close but he had to perform a very complicated maneuver to let me know he didnt want to share his meal. He first flew above and in front of me, then turned 90 degrees and followed a descending arc in my direction but several feet above my head..... I got the message.
I was there a little over a year and I liked it. Only problem for me was that Sigrid (the past director and I had a difference of opinion), and my wife who is disabled did not need me to bring anything home such as diseases from feeding mice to the birds or for me to pick something up from cleaning cages. Had it not been for that, it was a wonderful experience.
