About Me
I am a geologist/paleontologist and museum professional by training. I have always been interested in flora and fauna, particularly flora, but only recently started turning into a real birder--so I'm still pretty new to identifying and observing any but the most obvious birds.
Originally from Oregon, I've birded to some extent in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iceland, the highlands and cloud forests of Ecuador (minimally but excitingly!), and the Galápagos--but mostly in Colorado and Wisconsin!
I have a particular fondness for herons, ducks, and loons.
