My first ever post to CB is a request for advice for two Amish birding couples from PA that I have driven to CO for a birding vacation. We spent today (the 4th) in Pawnee and found more than we expected, e.g., bullock's oriole, a nesting Swainsons, lots of burrowing owls, a prairie falcon, and many McCown's longspurs. We searched hard for mountain plovers and Chestnut collared longspurs, with no success. My friends are willing to spend tomorrow morning there if we are not searching in vain. If…See More
