I'm not sure, Jon. But the pair we had early in the spring is still hanging around. They like sitting on the light post in our front yard, and on the telephone post in the back. I suppose they've tagged out house as a safe area.
We haven't notice...
I'm not sure when they leave, but I know that they migrate back during the beginning of April. We've seen dozens of them flying through Wheat Ridge each year.
This year I found some resting in a neighbors tree. It was really cool to see them earl...
I've seen a Eurasian Collared Dove on my walks along Carr St. toward Ralston Creek in Arvada. I've seen then three Sundays runing, probably the same bird.

We have a pair of Eurasian Collared-Doves hanging out around our house. I was excited until this morning when I read that they are expected to be the next "Starling" of the US. Dang.
I have to admit I like the Mourning Doves call better. The Coll...
We'll the pair of Flickers were tossed out of the box by a pair of squirrels! Not just any pair of squirrels either-- it's Daisy, our favorite squirrel.
Daisy is kinda cute, she is half the size of normal squirrels, and mostly stays in the front ...
Hi Sara
I have seen the Great Horned Owl along the Clear Creek bike path between Lowell and Federal Blvds. From Lowell Blvd (better parking) walk east on the bike path over a foot bridge across Clear Creek, continue until you see farm eequipment and construction material behind a chain link fence. Look in the big trees between here and the railroad trestle. However, I didn't see or hear the owl when I was out around 5 p.m. tonight, and I haven't seen it lately. A lot of brush and tree clearing has been done there since Christmas, it is sort of a lonely area, and the owl is only active right at dusk.
I'd suggest you make a point to be out at dusk anywhere there are big trees and keep your eyes, and ears open. The Wheat Ridge greenbelt or Two Ponds NWR in Arvada maybe good locations.
I would be glad to add you as a friend.
