Cole Wild and I have published our account of Cole's amazing year of birding in Colorado during 2010 in which he attempted to set a new record for the number of species seen in the state in a single year. Can't Quit Grinning

To Family, Friends, Rehabbers and Goose Lovers:



Sunday was a sad day for me when I found Honk Honk was not at the lake. After two visits and scouring the ditches and rock beds around the lake twice, I returned home very weary and I cried. I didn't visit HH on Saturday, as it was windy and cold, although I had fed her almost everyday or at times, every other day, and sometimes I had to trudge through snow drifts…

Audubon Christmas Bird Count

Audubon Christmas Bird Count~~~~December 19, 2009



What a great time yesterday on the Lockheed Martin campus in Littleton and later at Waterton Canyon. I didn't take many photos, as that is not allowed on the Lockheed property and I certainly didn't want to lug my camera up into the rocky area where some ice and snow made trekking a little treacherous. I could just see myself slipping off into a snowy ravine clutching my camera to my chest...never to be seen, again.
