Black chested House Wren

I have never used this blog before, so forgive me if I post this incorrectly!

Has anyone ever seen a House Wren with a black chest?

My friend that I was birding with said that the black was feathers, but I did not notice. I will have to go back to verify.

I can only find one other post in Coloradobirders regarding this too, under Odd House Wren.

I don't know if the black is because feathers are missing or if this is what…

black necked stilts in town

Black Necked Stilts at cherry creek ponds today. Not the drive up pond but 1000 feet south on closed dirt road on the west just before creek. several handsome males and maybe more! Very attractive and winter must be giving up.
