Colorado Birder

I would really appreciate any help I can get with identifying the bird in the attached pic. I can't find him in my Audubon Field Guides. He's been around for a little over a week in my backyard. He feeds on the ground and walks fast instead of hopping. I'm recently retired, and though I've always enjoyed birds, I've never had the time to really sit and notice how many I get in my small backyard. I'm really enjoying them.
Thanks,
Sheryl

A.J., I'm pretty sure that's what it is. You're the second person who's come up with a Green Tailed Towhee. I found it in my Audubon Field Guide, but the picture's not real clear. He stay around for a little over a week. I really appreciate the help. Sheryl

Sheryl, I just came across this site today, so you may have already found your answer but it appears to be a Green Tailed Towhee, from this veiw. I was able to locate him in a Peterson's Western Field Guide. See what you think A.J.
