However, I do want to report I have a Chukar living in my neighborhood, Mead CO, 1 mile west of mile marker 247 on I25. Took me a while to ID it, but definitely a chukar. All the info says they are only on the Western Slope....but no more. I and my neighbors have been seeing the bird (only one that I know of, or at least have not seen more than 1 at a time) for a couple weeks. Likes to sit on peaks of our roofs, and I've been within 10 yards of it when it was walking thru my yard to feed on the seeds dropped from the feeder. Just thought you'd like to know we have a "new" resident on the front range.
