Really? Hmmmmm... I see so little 'green'. I know it could be the light (or even my monitor (though it's pretty good, actually)....or it could be my lack of experience; but... to me the bird seems to have a general 'rufus' coloring. Also, while I heard several squeeks and other birds...I didn't hear chirping flight sounds. Isn't it likely we would...were it a Broad-tail? And thank you all...I learn a lot here!

I would say it is a Immature male Broad-tailed Hummingbird, Note the first few flame feathers in the gorget.

Sure looks like a Rufus to me.

Did you know the thing was dripping when you took the shot? You must go through a lot of nectar! LOL
